I need help on choosing my outfit for the anime convention in Jan! I was either going to be Chii from Chobits or C.C. from Code Geass, and I've decided to go with C.C. because of the cost.

A beautiful song. Take a moment to listen.

Where are you my angel now
Don't you see me crying?
And I know that you can't do it all
But you can't say I'm not trying
I'm on my knees in front of him
But he doesn't seem to see me
But all his troubles on his mind
He's looking right through me
And I'm letting myself down
Beside this fire in you
And I wish that you could see
That I have my troubles too.

Since it's summer, there are classes available to sign up for. Right now I'm interested in either Tai Chi or a Photography class (Holga). I'm leaning towards the Photo class just because I want to get back into it, and I'm usually too lazy to be motivated because of work. The price is not attractive though - $125 for eight classes. What?! To be honest I don't think I would learn anything much I don't know already, but still... just doing photo has a great place in my heart.

The Tai Chi class is $30, a significantly less amount. However I don't know if I'd like it - but it seems interesting enough. I would like something to help me deal/reduce my stress. What are your thoughts?

Update/// There is a Theatre class for $50 for eight classes. I'm considering that too.

Today I went shopping and I am on a mission to make pasta. The water is still boiling in the pot, and I haven't decided if I want red/white sauce yet. Hmm hmm hmm. A love note:

Dearest noodles,

I love you. I love you in bow tie, linguine, shell, stuffed, in any form and style at all. My tummy loves you especially. You never fail to be delicious.

Always,
Xanka.

I found what might be the coolest sleeping patch you ever did see.

Anyway -- I washed my car today, but it's not as shiny as I'd like it to be. What sucks is that somebody stole my car cleaning supplies! Well -- I forget them when I left to go see Terminator, and of course when I came back they were gone. It was good set too. :(

Terminator was good, but not great. Nothing new, but a good action flick to watch every once in awhile.

How is everyone?

I was browsing through my tags and I realized I stopped writing about the three things I am thankful for. Let me explain -- I told myself I would post three things everyday that I was thankful for to keep me optimistic. I like the idea, and I probably won't be able to update everyday but I will try and remember to do this.

o1. Bento

o2. Good people/friends/family you can trust and count on.

o3. Art for its amazing influence and the emotions they bring. I feel sorry for people who don't take their time and discover the beauty.

I finished my English (B) and Sociology (C) classes last semester and discovered that taking two classes was not fun for me. I had no time for Steven or myself. Currently I'm enrolled in Art Appreciation -- which is going great, I like the assignments and enjoy what I'm learning about. In July I begin Film and Literature class!'

I made some penne alfredo sauce pasta earlier with some artichoke in it. We bought some delicious peach drink and tropical juice earlier. I needed something fruity in the fridge.

I discovered a very beautiful painting while flipping through our text:

A Bar at the Folies-Bergère by Édouard Manet

How depressing it can be, but it's lovely.

Back in Del Rio

Steven and I returned from our 4 day trip in San Antonio last night, and it was nice to be out of Del Rio for awhile. Originally we planned to go to Florida to visit his brother for his graduation, but that ended up falling apart and we lost money from our non-refundable tickets. So we went to good old SAT instead.

We discovered some restaurants (Godai, Golden Wok, Fujiya) and returned to some favorites (Olive Garden). We had some delish sushi, gyudon and creme brulee. Spent a free day (minus the parking) at Sea World as well-- not as awesome as I expected, but I still enjoyed it.

I spent a lot of money over there, mostly on clothes and shoes. :[ I am running negative on one of my accounts--NOT GOOD!

I couldn't resist these pretty sandals:

I also bought some dresses, a shirt, and some randoms for my Steveface.

There was a cute dress with a panda on it at Bloom and I regret not buying it now. ;__;

Oh well, I'm broke enough anyways!

I can't let go...

It's strange how I finally have the choice to be stationed in Hawaii or Virginia (how I'd love to go back to VA) and now I'm not jumping at the opportunity.

P.S. Has anyone had their icon magically change into something else? I don't know why my "rabbit" icon (the one I'm using now) is suddenly a painting of a lady.
